Easy Chicken Caesar Pasta

To my knowledge, Caesar salad is the only salad that most children willingly and regularly eat. Both adults and children adore it—the umami-rich dressing serves as a fantastic unifier. If you want something heartier than salad but still want the rich, creamy Caesar flavor, what would you do? Cook some spaghetti with chicken and Caesar dressing.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast tenderloins
  2. 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
  3. 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, divided, plus more for garnish
  4. 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  5. 8 ounces dried farfalle pasta (about 3 cups)
  6. 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  7. 2 teaspoons finely chopped drained canned anchovies
  8. 1 3/4 cups heavy cream
  9. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  10. 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  11. 1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
  12. 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

Step:No:01

Boil water: Place a big pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil.

Step:No:02

Cook the chicken in the interim:
Wet the chicken with paper towels and pat dry. Distribute 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper on top.
In a big skillet over medium heat, heat two teaspoons of oil for roughly three minutes. Add the seasoned chicken and cook, rotating the chicken as necessary, for about 8 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted in the thickest part of the chicken reads 165°F.
Take out the chicken from the skillet, place it on a platter, and cover it loosely with aluminum foil to maintain its temperature.

Step:No:03

Cook the pasta by adding it to boiling water along with 1 tablespoon of salt. Cook for about 11 minutes, stirring now and again, or until the pasta is al dente.

Step:No:04

Prepare the sauce in the meanwhile: In the same skillet, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil over medium heat (do not wipe the skillet clean). Add the pasta to the skillet. Add the garlic and anchovies, and simmer for about 30 seconds, stirring regularly, until aromatic.
Use the whisk to scrape off any browned parts from the skillet as you gradually whisk in the cream, Dijon, and Italian spice. Cook for about three minutes over medium heat, whisking continually, until the mixture thickens somewhat.
Take off the heat and, when the cheese is melted, mix in the Parmesan, lemon juice, and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper.

Step:No:05

Assemble and serve: Make sure to rinse the pasta well after cooking. Move to the sauce-filled skillet. Add the chicken tenders and stir until well covered. If preferred, add more Parmesan and black pepper as garnishes.
