Easy Chicken Parmesan cheese

Without a doubt, the most well-liked non-pasta meal at Italian-American eateries is chicken parmesan. Even though this delectable dish looks elegant, preparing it at home is actually not that difficult.

Ingredients:

  1. 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  2. salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 1 cup panko bread crumbs, or more as needed
  5. ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  6. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, or more if needed
  7. ½ cup olive oil for frying, or as needed
  8. ½ cup prepared tomato sauce
  9. ¼ cup fresh mozzarella, cut into small cubes
  10. ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  11. ½ cup grated provolone cheese
  12. 2 teaspoons olive oil

Instructions:

Step:No:01

Heat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, or 230 degrees Celsius.

Step:No:02

On a level, sturdy surface, sandwich the chicken breasts between two thick plastic sheets (sealable freezer bags work nicely). Using the smooth side of a meat mallet, pound the chicken firmly until it reaches a thickness of 1/2 inch.

Step:No:03

Give the chicken a generous amount of salt and pepper. Coat the chicken breasts with flour on both sides using a sifter or filter.

Step:No:04

In a small bowl, beat eggs and set aside.

Step:No:05

In a separate bowl, combine bread crumbs and 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese; put aside.

Step:No:06

Coat a chicken breast in flour and dunk it in beaten eggs. Press crumbs into both sides of the breast as you transfer it to the bread crumb mixture. For every breast, repeat. Give the chicken 10 to 15 minutes to rest.

Step:No:07

In a big skillet over medium-high heat, warm up 1/2 inch of olive oil until it starts to shimmer. Fry chicken in heated oil for 2 minutes on each side, or until browned. The oven will continue to roast the chicken.

Step:No:08

Place the chicken in an ovenproof dish. Add two teaspoons of tomato sauce on top of each breast. Equal portions of provolone, mozzarella, and fresh basil are layered on top of each chicken breast. Drizzle each with half a teaspoon of olive oil and scatter the remaining Parmesan on top.

Step:No:09

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbling and browned and the chicken breasts are no longer pink in the middle, in a preheated oven. When placed in the center, an instant-read thermometer should read at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
